Issue With Link(s)?

In some cases, Kindle may fail to correctly interpret various links in ebooks. For example, this may occur with some mobile versions of Kindle when viewing links that contain bookmarks (e.g. path/filename.htm#bookmark). In our testing, we have found the following...

1. Links themselves ARE actually correct, but they may nevertheless be interpreted incorrectly by Kindle. Note that this may occur regardless of the nature of the bookmark (e.g. characters only or characters with spaces), therefore it may not be possible for us to avoid including potentially problematic links.

2. The issue seems to be limited to certain mobile versions of Kindle. For example, in our testing, links worked properly on the desktop version of Kindle. Also, no errors were received on the Kindle Paperwhite (although the correct pages were loaded on this latter version, they did not go to the bookmarked location).

3. On affected versions, applicable links may return 'Page Not Found' errors even though the page exists and is available. Again, the links ARE correct, but they may be interpreted incorrectly by Kindle.

Concerning this issue, your results may differ, but if they do not, we have included various potentially problematic links from our publications below for your convenience. If applicable links below are viewed via a browser outside of Kindle, you may find the links work properly. If they unexpectedly do not work, please contact us (click here for form) to report the issue.
